I can’t express how relieved and thrilled we all were that Morocco will take a top place in our labyrinth of family moments and holidays. We met several families who hadn’t quite judged the timing and distances with your savvy and seemed to be spending the majority of their holiday in a car in Morocco whizzing rather than savouring. We felt very lucky to have avoided a few pitfalls thanks to you and the Lonely Planet guide. I can’t thank you enough for all your personal input to discovering Morocco.–Cartiglia family, December 2011
We had such a wonderful trip. The transport companies both in Fez and Marrakech were really excellent. Their drivers were very safety conscious and tried very hard to make our journey comfortable and safe. Kamal Chaoui in Bhalil couldn't do enough to entertain us. On hotels that we stayed this trip they are all wonderful. What surprised us was how reasonable the accommodation in Marrakech is. We want to thank you for arranging this trip for us. Really it has been absolutely wonderful trip. The Moroccans that we met are absolutely wonderful. Morocco is a bit like Thailand where I came from but cheaper! The country is so rich in heritage and culture. Everything is catering to the need of tourists. One can see why most tourists who went there do not want to return home and want to buy a Riad or a house there. Thank you again and until next time in Morocco. We are already aiming going back there next March for the trip to Ouarzazate and the Southern Oases!–Nopporn Khwaepong, October 2012
Four of us have just returned from a ten day adventure in Morocco, and it would be an understatement to say we could not have done it without the aid of Helen Ranger and Concierge Morocco. She's a jewel; a find! Her insight in arranging accommodations, drivers, food and treks through the Medina's of Fes and Marrakesh was awesome. That’s to say nothing of our one thousand kilometre road trip from Fes to the camels in the Sahara and on to Marrakesh. She was truly a "Concierge" and the trip was amazing.–Al & Diane Knoll
This was our third trip to Morocco, so we wanted something a bit different. Helen at Concierge Morocco came up with the goods: an week-long journey in the north of the country. We started in Tangier where we stayed in the Kasbah (Dar Nour is fabulous), went to all the Beat poet hang-outs and had wonderful food. The culinary delights continued at Blanco Riad in Tetouan, followed by a chill-out in Chefchaouen. We loved the Rif mountains, and went on a two-day trek with Si Mohammed. He was very knowledgeable about flora and fauna, and took us to tiny villages where we wandered round a market, visited a cheese-making co-operative and stayed with a local family. Milking the goats was an experience! We'd certainly book with Concierge Morocco again. Getting off the beaten track and interacting with local communities was just what we wanted. Next time, the far south, perhaps?–Eileen and Donald van Deventer, Spain
Two middle aged professionals used to a comfy life went looking for adventure. We found Helen Ranger and her useful resource Concierge Morocco. The result was four days and three nights trekking and camping in the Moroccan desert, flanked by two nights each side in Dar Daif -- an extremely comfortable, impeccably run guest house. The desert trip was magical, awe-inspiring and enormously good fun. It was meticulously planned and executed. Our guide and the two camel men were at ease with their jobs and good company. We were driven to the trek in a Toyota Land Cruiser, which met us and took us back to the Dar at the end.. Concierge Morocco took care of every detail and the price for the whole package was surprisingly reasonable.–Mary Finnigan & Chris Gilchrist, Bristol, UK
Now that we've returned I wanted to thank you for the arrangements you made for us. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip, and my wife and children and I will always look back on it as a great adventure. Our transportation the entire trip was terrific. Both drivers, Lotfi from Casa to Fez and Anass from Fez to Marrakech were pleasant and helped make us feel safe throughout the journey. The cars were also comfortable and clean. Our stay at the Riad Misbah in Fez was very enjoyable and I would highly recommend it to others. The rooms were very nice, the location great and I must say that Fiela cooked us what was probably the best meal we had all trip. Having their pool was also a nice break after a day walking the medina. The artisanal tour with Jess was a real highlight. We all enjoyed her connection to the artisans and manner and I would recommend her as well to others. Our trip to Merzouga was great and we enjoyed the Maison as well as the desert trip. Most importantly, the entire trip was a success and I thank you again for your assistance with our plans. I could not have done it without you.–Gladstein family, California, USA, June/July 2012
We began planning our 7 week holiday with a vision of truly experiencing the culture, people and diversity of Morocco. We knew we wanted to live in the Fez medina for a month, attend the Festival of World Sacred Music and to independently travel around the country..…but we really had no ideas about selecting accommodation, transportation or an itinerary that would help us realize our goals. Our first step was to email Helen Ranger: she replied promptly with clarifying questions about our interests and budget and initial suggestions for our trip. Helen worked with our ideas, and drawing on her extensive personal knowledge of Morocco, crafted an itinerary including beautiful riads, a variety of types of transportation and activities such as hiking through the Rif mountains around Chefchaouen , exploring the sand dunes of Merzouga and enjoying the beautiful seaside city of Essaouira. She pre-booked interesting and affordable accommodations and handled details such as purchasing bus and train tickets and organizing a driver for part of the journey. Helen is a great communicator and she was extremely reliable, prompt and efficient . She never lost sight of our priorities and worked hard to customize our experiences. In the end, thanks to Helen’s input and help, we had a rich, rewarding and memory filled trip.–Gene and Joanne Shutek, Vancouver, Canada, May/June 2012
Just a quick note to say thanks for arranging our trip. All the places we stayed were lovely; Les Deux Tours was an excellent start (great suggestion for kids), and both Dar Fakir and Dar Bensouda were amazing – although a challenge to keep a 5 and 6 year old quiet! We thought Dar Bensouda was spectacular, and the people in charge could not have been more welcoming. All transfers and vehicles worked very well too. The vehicle for the drive to Fes, and the driver, were wonderful, and it was great to see the countryside. The day out to Meknes and Volubilis also worked well. All in all, a very interesting trip. –Joy & Stephen Child and family, UK. October 2013
We both had a wonderful time in Morocco and are already talking about a return visit. Thank you again for the wonderful work you did in arranging our itinerary at such short notice. In particular, we would like to recommend our driver, Ahmed, who was extremely safe and courteous. All the accommodation was comfortable and the dinners provided good. The Artisanal Affairs tour was useful, interesting and informative. It is a good idea for clients to do this tour on the first day as it is a good introduction to Fez and its crafts. The accommodation at Merzouga was good with the owner very friendly and interesting. The dawn 4WD tour with him to see the Erg Chebbi dunes and local oasis was very good. Whilst all the accommodation was good and comfortable, the best riad was Dar Rocmarra in Marrakech with a very friendly manager who was also an excellent cook. –Cheryl & Clive Miller, Australia, September 2013
I just wanted to thank you for everything. Our holiday was fabulous in every way. I sure want to come back to Morocco. I loved it there. It was so great meeting you. Please keep in touch and thanks again for everything you did. –Cheryl Woods, USA, October 2013
